Volunteers assist with a variety of tasks, including:

We typically ask volunteers to commit to one hour per week.
If you're assisting with lessons, we encourage you to commit to the same time each week to help riders feel comfortable and supported. We also welcome flexible volunteers who can fill in as needed.

Paperwork
All paperwork must be completed before volunteering. Annual updates are required for long-term volunteers.

Always sign in when you arrive. We track hours through Track It Forward for accreditation, fundraising, and verification purposes.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled lesson and plan to stay 15 minutes after to help with prep and wrap-up.

Stay informed via our Facebook page, bulletin board, and email updates. Let us know if your contact info changes.
Dress Code
Please commit to a consistent schedule. If you need to miss a session, notify us as early as possible so we can find a substitute. Lessons may be canceled due to weather or student absence—check with your instructor or coordinator for updates.

🧠 Volunteer Training & Expectations
- Volunteers working with riders must be mature, responsible, and physically able to walk for up to 2 hours and jog occasionally
- All volunteers must attend an orientation and two safety trainings per year
- Ongoing training is encouraged to stay current on safety procedures and best practices
- We reserve the right to determine readiness for specific roles based on safety and responsibility

- No dangling jewelry or strong fragrances

- Parking: Use the gravel area beside the front pasture (before the curve). Please do not park past the handicapped space near the walkway.
