Veterans/EMS Personnel

Veterans, EMS, & Active Service- FREE
Healing Through Horses at Saving Grace Farm
At Saving Grace Farm, we are honored to serve those who have served us. We offer Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) and Equine Assisted Horsemanship programs designed specifically for Veterans, Active Duty Military, and EMS Personnel—at no cost to participants.

🧠 Hoofing It to Healing: Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP)
This nature-based, hands-on therapy takes place on our peaceful farm, in the company of our incredible horse partners. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EFP uses the horse’s natural sensitivity and non-judgmental presence to help individuals:
  • Explore emotional challenges
  • Gain insight through real-time biofeedback
  • Build self-awareness, confidence, and resilience
Each session is client-led, with goals tailored to your personal journey. Licensed Mental Health Counselors and Certified Equine Specialists guide the process to ensure safety, harmony, and effectiveness.

🐴 Horse Warriors: Therapeutic Horsemanship & Equine Assisted Learning
This program blends horsemanship skills with fun, interactive activities that promote:
  • Balance, coordination, and body awareness
  • Communication and trust-building
  • Emotional regulation and confidence
  • Reconnection and empowerment
Riding is offered but not required. Ground-based horsemanship is equally powerful and accessible.
Weight limit for mounted activities: 160 lbs. Ground programs are available for those above this limit.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family & Group Services
We also offer ground-based group sessions for:
  • Couples
  • Families of service members
  • Those seeking bonding time away from daily stressors
For riding options for family members, please contact our office to discuss availability.

📌 Important Notes
  • All services are by appointment only and must occur on an ongoing basis for at least one month
  • We do not offer one-time rides or trail rides
  • Programs are led by certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors and licensed professionals
  • No Dogs Allowed on Premises for Rider Safety. If you have a certified service animal you feel you need on site with you, please contact the office for approval.
